Chikaming Open Lands’ Seventh Annual Barn Benefit
September 17, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm

Chikaming Open Lands’ Seventh Annual Barn Benefit gathers an influential group of more than 250 Southwest Michigan residents and Chicago second homeowners in support of Chikaming Open Lands’ mission each September. This event is held on a different privately-owned rural property each year, where attendees enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions and good company in a beautiful outdoor setting.

This year, it will be held at the quaint and historic farmstead of Rick & Nancy Spain on Prairie Road in Harbert. This 20-acre partially wooded-property features the early 20th century-era farmhouse owned by the original owners of the Swedish Bakery in Harbert.

Chikaming Open Lands is dedicated to preserving uniquely beautiful open spaces of this corner of Southwest Michigan, and educating our community about the diverse, natural character of this area. The annual Barn Benefit raises a significant portion of the annual funding that supports the mission.

Tickets are $120 each for members, or $150 each for nonmembers (this price includes a one-year membership to Chikaming Open Lands). Tickets will go on sale in early August--check back for updated information throughout the summer. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
